Identibac EC

Identibac EC is a quick and simple method for pathotyping Eschericha coli (E.coli). The Identibac EC ArrayTube contains probes for 60 different disease causing genes present in the gut bacteria Escherichia coli. The virulence genes present in E. coli clinical isolates of human and animal origin can be determined using the Identibac EC ArrayTube to establish the type of pathogenic E. coli present in each sample.

IdenitBacEC allows identification of virulence genes associated with a range of E.coli pathotypes including: extraintestinal pathogenic E. coli; enteroaggregative E. coli; enterotoxigenic E. coli; enteropathogenic E. coli; shigatoxigenic E. coli; enterohaemorrhagic E. coli; and enteroinvasive E. coli.

Identibac EC is a rapid and simple to use method that allows results from an E.coli isolate within 24 hours. In addition to speed of results, Identibac allow significant reductions in equipment and consumables costs over alternative methods.

Identibac EC has been validated to the exacting standards of the Veterinary Laboratories Agency, and is a highly sensitive specific and robust test.
